Update on my life...

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if any of you remember me, but I used to make icons and textures and things, such as. It's been a while, but I thought I'd just update this quickly and see how everyone has been doing. I got married about 2 and a half weeks ago! That was fun. I love being married; I think I was born to be married. :) It's what I'm good at.

Right now I'm working as the cookie baker for a cookie bakery. Their main focus is custom-made ice cream cookie sandwiches, but I'm the one who makes the cookies. And things. I feel very important. XD

I've had time lately to do LJ related things, but... turns out I am a little too addicted to *ahem*.... COUGHsecondlifeCOUGH.

Nerdy, I know. Second Life is just so addictive, though, what can I say? I want to start my own Anthropologie-esque furniture/clothing/etc. store. That would be freaking awesome. I just need to figure out how to create things. Anything.

Any of you play on Second Life? We should be friends. :)

I don't mean to keep complaining, but hoooooolyyy fraakkinggg coowwwwww. No one was available to help me move yesterday, so I had to do it all by myself. Which I thought would be fine. But I had to carry boxes that weighed as much as me up one flight of stairs, pack them all somehow into my tiny car, then (after my roommate finally moved her car) I had to unpack the boxes again and go up two more flights of stairs to my new apartment. I was out of breath, and thought that would be the end of it. Last night, however, my arms felt like they were dying a painful, aching death, and I could hardly sleep. And when I did sleep, I was always having some sort of nightmare that related to my arms dying a painful, aching death. I woke up to find my entire body aching. You know how growing pains feel? My whole body was.... drenched, for lack of a better word, in growing pains. DRENCHED. All the way to my bones. Have you ever woken up to find your hand completely asleep? And then the feeling and blood starts to rush back in and it hurts like you couldn't believe? My arms feel like that. Non-stop. And it's just gotten worse as the day has gone on. It's not an I-worked-out-too-hard sort of feeling, it's an I-killed-my-muscles-for-good feeling. And I have a cold.

So now that my complaining is over with, I really love my new apartment. It is a nice little place, probably the nicest apartment complex in the entire city. That sounds impressive, but it's a tiny little town, so it's not all that incredible. Some pictures:

I'm supposed to be packing but I'm distracting myself with anything pointless I can think of. Like trying to practice my typing skills on my new phone (now.) Dead Like Me is a good show, I've been watching it on netflix. I didn't get to see the first episode though, which is a shame. If any of you have the first episode, you should share. This has really helped my typing skillz I think. Wondavul!

Random post, but.

Do you ever REALLY wish you could hear your own accent? I just realized that I really want to hear what my own 'accent' sounds like. To other people. The American accent. I only realized that we had accents in my teens. I thought everyone else were the ones with the accents, not us. I guess except for the Southern accent, or Boston accent, I can hear those I guess. But just the regular accent. I have the regular accent....... don't I?? :)

Also, I got a job, sort of. It's with the web design company I used to work with, except this time I get to freelance/outsource for them. That environment was way too stressful, so I'm glad to be working at home this time around.

Also, I have to watch Lawrence of Arabia and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid for my film class. Which one first?

Also, what's the best, least smelly, cheapest pet to get other than fish? A small animal. I love rats, but they can get stinky if you are keeping them in a small bedroom! I might just have to get a fish. I want a pet again. Any suggestions?

Also, if I like FNL, BSG, Lost, The Office, and umm Prison Break, what other show would I like? (I watch Heroes but for some reason I still can't call myself a fan of it. Which is weird because I think it's a great show.)

Also, I really want to buy a video camera. My credit card is very tempting at the moment.

Also, how can one decorate their bedroom walls if one isn't allowed to use nails? I want to do something with decals or stencils, like the animal ones at urbn.com. Should I just do it on paper?

Finally got around to creating a decent profile... go look and see and look!

Also, I just started up two new communities, msgs and musicfood. Not much to see yet, but msgs will be a community to post audio clips of people talking, preferably on the phone, preferably voicemail. I just think it'd be interesting, sort of like a community to scan in pieces of notes and letters, but instead, we get to hear voices. :) musicfood will be a community where I and others can post music similar to Regina Spektor, Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, etcccc. I don't plan on them being huge, but I'm excited about them nonetheless.

You'll probably really like streampad.

I signed up because it allows you to stream the music on your home computer to any other computer. Which means I can share the music that's on my computer at home with my sister when I'm at her house, rather than trying to find the mp3 file somewhere online (with no luck). Which happened yesterday. But no more! No more.

Also, you can search for an artist and it will list a bunch of songs of theirs, with links to the mp3 files. (!) That has to be illegal. But I lub it.

I could always try to do it just by looking at the image, but it never turns out quite right. Any tips on bang-cutting would be woonderrffull.

Also, I earned $75 today. I can pay my VA bill finally. :D
